Mission Statement
The UWFRN Mission is encouraging and empowering individuals and families in our community through cooperative planning and services.
The UWFRN represents an important new partnership between state government and local communities to identify their needs and develop and implement local action plans. FRNs serve as the primary coordinating and planning body for the community service system for children and families.

To further the development of the UWFRN as a supportive organization
To create public awareness regarding policies and issues affecting children and families
To support and encourage the development of healthy lifestyles and effective parenting in an effort to reduce child abuse and neglect
To support and encourage the development of adequate food and supplies and financially independent families
To support the delivery of readily accessible human services to families in the outlying areas
To support and encourage the development of effective early childhood programs
Several working committees carry out the objective and activities of these goals: Healthy Families, Early Childhood, Corporate Volunteer Council, and Food and Hunger.
